Cold Bare Bums for Global Warming
Nearly 600 naked people braved the cold on the Aletsch Glacier in Switzerland for the New York photographer Spencer Tunick recently. 600 people may not sound like much when compared to the amount of people that got naked for Tunick in Mexico, but the weather was probably a little more bearable in Mexico too!
Spencer Tunick and Greenpeace teamed up to make a point about the vulnerability of the environment and people.
Greenpeace says "Without clothes, the human body is vulnerable, exposed, its life or death at the whim of the elements. Global warming is stripping away our glaciers and leaving our entire planet vulnerable to extreme weather, floods, sea-level rise, global decreases in carrying capacity and agricultural production, fresh water shortages, disease and mass human dislocations." I am not sure whether I would be prepared to go to those lengths to be in a Spencer Tunick photo. Crazy indeed!!
