Banksy at Auction
I have spent hours browsing through auction catalogues online today. I spend hours every month going through them, like I'm a billionaire art collector looking for prey, yet I have never spent more than $1,000 on a painting!
It's almost like an addiction, but it's free, it doesn't affect my health, and I love doing it, so I can't complain. Impressionists, modern art, contemporary art, and Australian art are my favorite art auctions to browse, but I have also found myself looking at anything from fine wine through to exclusive real estate auctions (I'm a dreamer).
Here's some Banksy works that will be up for auction at Sotheby's in London on the 28th of February.

Auction Estimate - 30,000—40,000 GBP

Banksy - MONA LISA
Auction Estimate - 30,000—40,000 GBP
Banksy - POLICE
Auction Estimate - 30,000—40,000 GBP
I'm surprised that collectors haven't had more problems with the subject matter of Banksy. It's one thing to appreciate them on a public wall or in a gallery, but living with them is something different. The Happy Coppers isn't something I would like to pass by while going to the toilet at night. I would be happy to add any of them to my collection though ;-)

Banksy's story is romantic, his creations eye catching, but is it art?
I agree I wouldn't want his work in my living room.
I've been following him for years and it's true, he's laughing all the way to the bank!

i think he does create art, and in unlikely places too. Hes a thinker and a doer, any visual stimulant that sparks thought within the observer is a kind of art i think!

Oh my God, Mona Lisa again.
It's almost century ago surrealists started to make fun around those kitchy painting... I think anyone who exploit this subject in 21 century, should be tagged as a "man out of ideas".

The art that you put up is very interesting. Have you heard of post secret, it holds no relative value but it is very interesting non the less. Please look at my blogs and check out the links I provide for Post Secret. Let me know what you think
Yeah, Post Secret is an interesting idea. I have mentioned it a couple times. There's Post Secret book too.
