I like free stuff, especially if I don’t have to jump through hoops to get it. The J. Paul Getty Museum has a whole bunch free art books to view online. Hundreds of them! You can read them online or download the pdf files to keep on your computer. Obviously it would be nice to have big shiny hardcover copies of them all delivered to your door for free, but hey, I’m not complaining. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York is celebrating 100 years of Pablo Picasso’s “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” painting. The MoMA says..

“The exhibition reunites Les Demoiselles with a group of preparatory studies for the overall composition and for the individual figures, and also includes selected works created immediately before and after the iconic painting that highlight its generative role in the artist’s oeuvre.
