Up until very recently my mobile/cell phone was an old Nokia brick that didn’t know what the Internet was. When it finally died on me I decided I would get with the times and upgrade to a smart phone. I didn’t want an Apple iPhone as everyone seems to have one.. and me being me had to go with something different. So I went with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 because it had a big screen and a PENCIL!!
After learning what an App was I downloaded the SketchBook Pro application and wow, how cool is it? It’s very intuitive and easy to use, especially if you have used Photoshop before (I ended up downloading the Photoshop app too). I still haven’t explored it fully, but here’s a some experiments with it..
Happy picture because I must have been happy that day!
Portrait of some guy that happened to be on a newspaper sitting in front of me.
Two cups of coffee and a packet of chocolate biscuits. It really looks like pencil or pen huh?
Playing around with layering and lines on the phone.
Weird cell phone art! This is an alien or monster of some kind I guess. Just playing with the different brushes and effects on the SketchBook pro app.
These are my paint spattered sandals. They’re very worn and tattered but I love them dearly!
Are there any other cool apps for artists out there? I have used SketchBook Pro and the Photoshop app. They’re both excellent. My most used application on my phone is the card game Solitaire by Brainium! I have wasted too many hours on that thing so I don’t recommend downloading it!!
