New Logo for Art News Blog

Art News Blog Logo

I have made some adjustments to the Art News Blog logo. In keeping with the new WordPress theme that I’m using I have changed the color and I also used a different font for the ‘news blog’ text. What do you think? Good, bad, indifferent?

This was the first logo I used for the blog. An art magazine that didn’t like how I connected the words art and news together prompted a change. I probably should have kept it for a while just because I don’t like being told what to do, but I didn’t like the logo much anyway. So it was a good excuse to finally change it.

I ended up going with this version of the logo after some help from ANB readers. It’s simple and did its job, which was to sit quietly in the corner and tell people what blog they’re on.

With the new blogging platform (moved from Blogger to WordPress) and the new start (I abandoned ANB for 3 years) I figured I needed a little logo freshen up, hence the color change and the cleaner font used. I’m definitely no logo designer but I think I like it ;-)

  1. Hi, Dion

Welcome back, just a few days late for me to get the news on Google Reader. I used to follow you on that, but Google ditched it at the start of July. I’ve been having trouble for the last fortnight posting to Facebook, but solved the problem this morning and noticed your link on my Kate Moss post.
    I like the new logo.
Have you a Facebook page or a Google+ page or a Twitter page?
Here’s my newish Facebook page: London Art News, just updated.

  2. Hey Ian, thanks
Yeah I heard some people grumbling about the loss of Google reader. Makes me wonder if Feedburner owned by Google is next to go.

And yes, I’m looking into a few different social media platforms at the moment. I just did a post on them..

Pinterest has been the discovery for me so far. I have never bothered to use it before but it’s a great way to browse art. I have spent hours on it!

I just liked your facebook page too.
