The gang that stole paintings by the Norwegian master, Edvard Munch have been put behind bars. The three art thieves that were convicted received sentences that ranged from 5 and half, through to 9 and a half years each.
Petter Tharaldsen was the driver behind the theft. He received 9 and half years, but was also involved in another unrelated robbery. Bjoern Hoen planned the theft. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison. Stian Skjold was one of the masked gunmen that entered the museum (the other gunman died from a drug overdose last year).
