Did you know that the video game called Star Citizen raised more than $40 million from crowdfunding? One part of the money was raised using Kickstarter and the other independently on their own website. Quite a few crowdfunded projects have raised more than a million dollars but there must be thousands of small projects being funded as I’m forever seeing campaigns pop up on my facebook feed and in my email inbox. What do roads have to do with art? Not much and I don’t really care as this is such a FREAKIN’ good idea!! In fact, I fear that it is so great of an idea that it will never get off the ground. You see, I think the matrix that we live in depends on us having a set number of problems to keep the majority of us on our knees. This awesome idea solves too many problems and improves the lives of too many people in one fell swoop to be allowed. Imagine solar roadways combined with electric cars! Australia’s richest person says the government should sell all its art and decor to pay for essential services. Gina Rinehart, the mining billionaire and richest woman in the world with an estimated net worth of $22 billion, must be so poor that all she has is money. I would much prefer to nationalize the mining resources and create a MASSIVE sovereign wealth fund so that future generations can benefit from the country’s vast, yet non-renewable resources.
